Is it Spring yet?

We still have several inches of snow hanging around from recent storms here in central Massachusetts, but there are signs of Spring! One or two birds are singing in the early morning, the sun is warmer, the days are getting longer, and the air has a hint of that sweet smell of things to come... green grass, leaves, flowers, birds.
In the meantime, I have tulips from Dave! ♥

Late Summer

It's Fall I know... but my summer flowers are still going strong! This sole purple one bloomed a couple of weeks ago. We had many of them in early summer but this one procrastinated til now... 

It's still summer and I can prove it..

Zinnias! Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers because they bloom in late summer and all through September. Also they are very easy to grow. Back in May or June, I opened a packet of zinnia seeds and sprinkled them into the ground in a spasticated fashion, then watered the area daily, and now they are about 3 feet tall! I love that they are so bright and cheery and they look like cartoon flowers. 

This batch of seeds produced mainly deep fuschia flowers

 But here's a lone light red one!

Stars of Summer

I love flowers! They're one of my favorite things about my favorite season. These are some shots I took on recent walks in Maine and around my neighborhood in central Mass.
