The Dollface and Her Chicken
This is a screenprint of a comic panel from the 24 pages in 24-hours comic challenge I did in 2005. These characters, Dollface and Chicken, were a product of exhaustion. In fact, I think this was the last panel that I drew, at about hour 22. It makes me sleepy just to think about it.

The portrait...
Sometimes I draw other things besides comics. This is a portrait I did of of Ellen Page (no relation to Jimmy or Neal). She is the actress from that film, Juno, about a young girl who borrows her parents' blue minivan for hours on end and they're too busy puttering around the house like brain-dead simpletons to notice or care. Kind of a far-fetched plot if you ask me.
Pencil and ink on print stock.

The Public Service Announcement...
This is a recent sketch of my new character, Paul.
He's not really going to be a in a public service announcement, per se. However, you might learn through his, err, example, if you read my next comic in the upcoming Spring issue of Detour.
His legs aren't going to be as hairy. I was just experimenting.
